Auckland Special Services Manager
You thrive when you're managing people, the logistics of good practical piece of project work, keeping on top of operational challenges and ensuring excellent customer service is achieved ... In addition, you are sales focused, and someone practical with hands on experience in medical equipment installations, onsite deliveries or transportation of specialist equipment, art or artefacts.
You're a thinker and do-er, who is highly organised and knows how and when to pull the right levers to respond to the changing situation. You understand that specialist project work requires national travel or weekend work, when necessary - but this means you also get to see some of the country as you go!
You want the challenge and growth of managing your own team, specialist function, and P&L results, whilst being part of a larger business.

The What and Who...
You will be be responsible to manage and develop the special services function profitably and safely. This means ensuring an enhanced service offering whilst maintaining compliance to all regulatory and contractual requirements.
You'll be strong on attention to detail, and ensuring all processes, systems and policies are understood and followed by your team. You'll be comfortable rolling your sleeves up and working alongside your team to manage and motivate them, even doing deliveries to achieve results and deliver to our customers.
You thrive on a challenge and you know how to actively seek new opportunities and clients through targeted business development.
You're comfortable with systems, reporting results, and the day to day operational responsibilities.
You know when to get your 'hands dirty' and lead from the front and you never lose sight of the customer experience and ensuring we deliver our promise. Ideally, you will have a Class 2 -4 Licence, DG endorsement and Site Safe or similar H&S knowledge and qualifications, along with experience or exposure to Crane and Heavy Haulage work.
